RYA Start Yachting Course – What Do I Learn?
Grenada Bluewater Sailing is one of the best sailing schools in the Caribbean – personal attention is guaranteed with small groups and high quality tuition. Our RYA instructors have worldwide sailing experience including cruising the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and UK waters.
On the RYA Start Yachting Course we sail around the scenic coastline of Grenada. As well as exciting coastal sailing, there are many beautiful bays and calm anchorages for lunch stops.
Over the two days, we introduce you to being underway on our sailing yacht, rope work, rules of the road, man overboard recovery, clothing and equipment, emergency equipment and precautions, and basic meteorology.
RYA Start Yachting Course – Sailing On Chao Lay
Chao Lay is a solid bluewater cruising 46 foot sailing yacht. Immaculately kept, she is very spacious on board and has three private en suite double cabins. Chao Lay is a great training vessel and very comfortable to sail. She is fully equipped with all of the latest required safety equipment and meets the standards set by the RYA and MCA.

Please contact us directly with the dates you are staying on Grenada. With advance bookings we are very flexible and will work to suit your schedule. This allows you to concentrate on having the perfect vacation!
The course starts each day at 08:30am and finishes at 17:00pm. Lunch is included and served on board at around 13:00pm.
Grenada Bluewater Sailing is based at Grenada Yacht Club in St. George’s on Grenada.
