This is a one day course. If you own a marine radio hand held or fixed set you are required by law to hold an operators licence. Learn the procedures for operation and take a short exam to gain the qualification on this one day course. Based in the True Blue Resort.

The course details:

  Understand the Radio Rules and Regs

  Operate Marine VHF equipment

  Use the Phonetic Alphabet

  Understand basic radio language

Call using the correct channel  

  Make calls to other stations

  Send a Distress Alert and Distress          Message

  Send an Urgency Alert and a Safety Call

  Pass a short written test 

Qualify for a Short Range Certificate
